Better Late Than Never
Snowwwwww!!
It started to snow last Dec.26th,a day after Christmas but better late than never!
Belated Merry Christmas and wishing you all a Prosperous New Year!!
I have a lot to share, though I do not know which one would be applicable for this season.
Let me share you a bit of Tohoku area,North part of Japan.
This is the coldest part of Japan I`ve ever experienced so far. It`s been snowing for 3 days now,so I wondered why not enjoy the thick snow!I decided to meet my African friends(I have met friends in different races here;my first friend is a Korean, then I met some at the International Hall,Sendai including Thai,American,Sri Lankan,Brazilian,Ukranian and so on)in Yamagata, which is colder coz the place is surrounded by mountains.Yama means mountain.I took the train alone(Ally didn`t want to go.It`s winter vacation but she wanted to stay at home coz of Santa claus` presents! WII game,a DS soft and another DS soft yesterday! What happened to Santa? She`s tolerating Ally with a lot of game stuffs!??Haru, which is already 16 yrs. old got a cash..,no more toys for her,in fact, she has a boyfriend now and hubby is worried and jealous at the same time.Well, her BF is cute, smart(Haru said)and kind.Haru found a part time job 3x or 4x a week, so she is now very busy.)
Furthermore, almost all of the trains got delayed due to the snowy weather. It wasn`t a hindrance for me to go to Yamagata.I enjoyed looking out of the window of the train!!Words are not enough to tell you how I felt looking at the mountains and the trees covered with snow!It was overwhelming! They`re real Christmas trees decorated with snow!
Here are some of the pictures I took from the window……

The sign board says “there is a Ski jo nearby”…
I was smiling looking at the scenic mountains…It`s been a while since I saw this kind of impressive view.I was thankful that at least, global warming doesn`t affect much this part of the world… Astounding white environment and I didn`t care about the strong wind with snow…it was as if the train was crashing a white gate, then it was pulled by a magnetic power penetrating another world beyond…
My friends were waiting for me in the station. To make the story short,we had lunch, took some pics outside, searched for an Izakaya(Japanese bar)but they were closed coz it was daytime. So,we found a Karaoke bar!!It was fun with them! They were both younger than me of course, but we had the same type of music.
Both of them are intelligent students. They are warm and jolly so we shared loud laughters!!

Narshida looked so pretty and she`s only 27 yrs.old.Nice pose, gurl! Her first snow by the way.

Shermann himself was quite charming..woohooo,Shermann,are you reading my blog?
I really had a good time with you guys!Feel free to visit my place in the near future!Next time,I will tour you around Matsushima Islands…The 3rd most scenic place in Japan, which is only 30 min.away fr. my home.

Thank you for the greetings, guys!!Once again,Belated Merry Christmas and I wish you all the happiness and success that you`re all aiming for this New Year!!
I also apologize for not showing up in your blogs.I just needed a total blog-o-break.
I appreciate the friendship…deep inside my heart…I love you…

Yahoo!!!! I’m first!!!
I’m so happy to read an update from you Ghee! I knew texting you would get you out of hibernation
Did you call me? I got a missed call, but it was a “private number”.
What beautiful scenery, I love the pictures Ghee. That first one looks almost like one of those Japanese black and white ink prints. I’d love to be watching that while I’m on the train. Wow that’s a lot of snow, even by Canadian standards! We had 3 snow storms every other day right before Christmas here, they were calling it snowmaggedon! So it was a white Christmas, unfortunately it started raining on Christmas eve and now it’s 10C, so everything’s melting and flooding.
I’m glad you are having a great time in the real world. That’s how it should be. I figured you were busy, but I hope that you will blog every few months or so. Nermal and I missed you lots.
I wish you, Mr.Ghee, Haru, and Ally a Happy New Year! Good luck in 2009 Ghee!
@ANGELO:
Oh yeah,Angelo!Your texts always remind me to blog out!Well,Im always happy to receive them.
I didn`t call you,but I`d like to hear your voice, what would be the proper timing to do so?
I love snow but not snowmaggedon!!Whoah! That would be very dangerous!Take care of yourself. It is still snowing today.I`m lazy to go out.
I wish you the same,Angelo!More blessings to you and your family this 2009!!Thanks always!!
ghee

Your post almost brought me to the area. I love the sceneries and the fun you had with your African Friends. That’s great and peacemaking.

Hi Ghee!
Glad to see you back posting!
My blogging behavior had been erratic this few months that passed so I wasn’t able to visit any blog. And I’m so surprised to see you leaving one comment in one of my post.
I’m now in the boondocks of Mindanao with not much Internet connection. I’ll post more of my adventure once I get back to Manila…
Those are nice travel photos you’ve posted out there. Having not seen any snows in my life, those snow photos interested me much.
That’s quite an interesting experience you have too with those African couple. I myself had been accompanying people coming from different parts of the globe and it was always interesting to share a bit of their culture.
Welcome 2009 and I wish you and your family more blessings to come…
Regards…
