Jon Bon Jovi At Tokyo Dome!!
Jan.13th.,Sunday…The cold wind touched my skin soon as I got out of our house…but it wasn`t a hindrance for me to wear my super mini dress!!Oh yeah!!It was Jon Bon Jovi`s Concert!!
40,000 people,Japanese and foreigners attended the concert. As I had expected, people on their 30s,40s and 50s were dressed-to-kill;so entertaining to see lots of “dads” in their super black costumes ALA Bon Jovi on 80`s,haha!
I had a great ticket,3rd row and I thought it was closer to the stage…But you know what??I was in the upper part of Tokyo Dome!!!OMG!!!I`m afraid of heights….my feet were trembling when I reached out for my seat…I couldn`t even look down…I felt sick…so i went out to refresh and to pee, fell in a long line until the concert started,LOL!

(Taken from my cell phone`s cam)The Tokyo Dome was fully packed, this was taken after the concert when people started to leave, though the instruction of the Dome`s staffs.Discipline…really admirable!
Do you have any idea how far the stage was??OH NOOOO!!I couldn`t see him!!!I wanted to buy binoculars outside..really…but at least there were big screens..
The announcement was heard after after 5PM..the show was going to start…everyone got excited…then I became dismayed….Cameras aren`t allowed…The guards will arrest you and you will be forced to leave if you will not follow this rule…. Another nooooooooo!!Oh well,Japanese discipline….alright…I planned to take some secret shots but they didn`t happen, the guard never even blinked right in front of the seats … LOL!
LIGHTS OFF….followed by the silence of the crowd…and then…..people down stairs screamed!!!It was the band`s blissful entrance!LIGHTS ON……..and then……….
Whoah!!!!!!OMG!!!!Jon Bon Jovi looked so cool in his maroon shirt and black pants, matched by his reddy hair!!!
He never got old!!Still young, lively and energetic!
The ladies in front of me and beside me stood up…this time,i forgot the height…it was dark also so I didn`t mind it,I was focused on the stage(or on the screen,LOL!),I stood up too!Danced and sang with them. You know what??These ladies didn`t take their seats until the end of the concert that lasted for 2 and a half hours!!Not only them, almost everyone!Gee…You would be devastated by tomorrow,I thought…hehe..
So Nostalgic…everyone became younger again on that very moment, hehe, and Jon Bon Jovi and his band were all great performers!!Very professional. No more wild shows,of course, but I like it better that way.I felt his voice all over me…his energy inspired the people for unstoppable swaying of hands, head…all of their bodies just to let him feel how much they awe him, including me…I love him since I was 19 yrs old.

(BTW,Angelo,my digital camera is the same.)
I was too disappointed that Bon Jovi didn`t sing my favorite song…I`ll Be There For You…Why??Coz he had another concert the following day?
Anyway,my only souvenir that night was his voice and a cell phone strap,a key chain and a mouse pad I bought.
And these shirts were displayed outside.

(I can`t smile and pause a lot…a stranger was taking a pic of mine…hehe)
And this pic I like…but why it is so blurry??huhuhu…
My super mini black dress and fish net stockings caught lots of attentions…men or women…even on the train…I wonder…did I look like a “trying hard?” LOL!
Jon Bon Jovi and his band is now a history…the longest among bands, longer than Beatles. They`ve been performing together for 25 years! This was their 30th time in Japan and I am looking forward to see them again next time.
Thank you for the beautiful songs and for the up lifting spirit- energy,Jon and to all the members of your band!More Power to all of you!

Yahoo! I’m finally first!!!!
Wow Ghee looks like you had a blast! I didn’t know Bon Jovi was still together, you’re right it brings back some nostalgia from the 80’s…. now I have “shot through the heart and your to blame, darlin’ you give love a bad name” running over and over in my head. And there’s nothing like a good old rock love ballad… awesome soundtrack as I read your blog… felt like I was at the concert… They didn’t still have the big 80’s hair like in the video up top did they hehe…
Too bad you didn’t get to take pictures during the concert… pesky Japanese discipline…. actually I think it’s just Filipinos who have a complete lack of self-discipline hehe…. Great shots anyways Ghee! Rock-on!
BTW, not really updating regularly again. But I had some extra time on my hands and I found my blogging voice again… not sure how long it will last. Blog on Ghee!

Hi, Ghee. I can see you enjoyed a lot. You know what? I can sing every bit of Bon Jovi tracks. I mean, I can’t sing that well as much as they do but I do memorize every lyrics of their songs. We’re of the same age bracket so you know it, Hehehe…
When Bon Jovi was having their concert in Manila, I wasn’t able to see it kasi masyadong mahal ang ticket
Anyhow, maybe sometime later, I can get to watch for their concert…
